Job summary

ON.energy is seeking a Supplier Quality Engineer to strengthen supplier quality across the lifecycle of electrical equipment used in energy storage systems. You will audit and evaluate vendors, review ITPs, participate in FATs, and drive corrective actions with suppliers.

The role emphasizes hands-on experience with electrical power systems, BESS, inverters, transformers, and switchgear, with up to 75% travel to domestic and international sites.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Industrial, or Quality Engineering (or equivalent hands-on experience in manufacturing).
• 3–7 years of supplier or product quality engineering experience in energy or manufacturing.
• Hands-on experience with electrical power systems (BESS, inverters, transformers, switchgear).
• Experience with supplier process audits (evaluating manufacturing processes).
• Knowledge of ISO 9001 and quality tools (8D, SPC, PFMEA, control plans, FAI/PPAP).
• Willingness to travel up to 75% to vendor sites and project locations.

Responsibilities

• Drive supplier selection, evaluation and qualification per company quality processes.
• Define and document supplier quality processes per ISO 9001 and other requirements.
• Perform supplier process audits to evaluate manufacturing controls and quality systems.
• Maintain Audit Planning and Reporting documentation for supplier audits.
• Manage supplier quality documents, including ITPs and FAT procedures.
• Lead root-cause analysis and corrective actions with vendors.
