Job summary

FuelCell Energy seeks a Quality Engineer to ensure the highest quality levels for power plant products and site installations. You will drive quality planning, supplier qualification, ITP development, and cross-functional collaboration toward continuous improvement.

The role requires 5+ years in quality engineering, ISO-9001 knowledge, and hands-on experience with inspection methods and testing. Domestic/international travel and close work with engineering teams are expected.

Qualifications

Six Sigma Green Belt or higher; or demonstrated application of statistical concepts.
Lean Six Sigma tools for manufacturing/supplier process qualification, control, root cause & corrective action.
Experience with ISO9001 quality systems and documentation.
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and product requirements.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

Defines supplier qualification processes, required levels of process capability, and process controls.
Develops and approves Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs) for equipment and systems.
Verifies supplier data, inspection and FAT/NDE reports and completes inspections and tests.
Drives supplier quality through audits and surveys; supports qualification and development programs.
Leads investigations and 8D-style corrective/preventive actions.
