Job summary

Responsibilities

• Coordinate availability of tools, materials, equipment and trade help; plan sequences of tasks and workers.
• Resolve problems and bottlenecks; request higher-level decisions as needed.
• Preview job at worksite; coordinate resources with shop planners and plan sequence of tasks.
• Perform planning, scheduling, work direction, and inspections.
• Assign tasks, tools, equipment and materials; lay out work and interpret plans.
• Instruct workers on proper methods, use and care of equipment and safe work practices.
