Job summary

Kiewit is seeking an Electrical Superintendent to lead multiple teams on power generation projects, ensuring electrical work adheres to NEC/IEEE standards and project specs. This role emphasizes planning, coordination with clients and subcontractors, and cost management within TIC Power division.

Based in diverse locations with extensive travel, you will drive safety, quality, and on-time delivery while mentoring staff and coordinating with engineers and suppliers on complex EPC projects.

Qualifications

• 8+ years in construction with 3+ in a superintendent role overseeing electrical installations in power generation or industrial environments.
• Proactive leader with strong initiative and decision-making abilities.
• Familiar with NEC, IEEE, and NFPA standards for electrical work and safety.
• Commitment to OSHA safety protocols and safe work practices.
• Strong collaboration with clients, engineers, suppliers, and subcontractors.

Responsibilities

• Mentor junior superintendents, general foremen, foremen, and field engineers to foster a high-performance team.
• Review and approve labor rates to maintain budget integrity and fair compensation.
• Lead subcontractor coordination meetings to streamline communication and resolve issues.
• Build and sustain positive client and onsite team relationships for collaboration.
• Lead planning sessions and problem-solving meetings with stakeholders to ensure smooth operations.
• Contribute to monthly progress reports and project cost updates.
• Assist in reviewing, approving, and negotiating change orders.
• Support project completion protocols and turnover processes for successful closeout.
• Maintain comprehensive daily records and documentation for reporting and compliance.
• Conduct performance evaluations for direct reports and oversee promotions up to General Foreman.
