Job summary

Primoris Energy Services is seeking an Electrical Superintendent to lead and coordinate electrical construction activities on power generation projects in Waco, TX. The role requires extensive industrial construction experience, especially with gas turbine simple-cycle and combined-cycle plants, and a strong emphasis on safety, schedule adherence, and budget control.

You will supervise electrical craft personnel, coordinate with project teams, and support startup and commissioning efforts.

Qualifications

• Minimum 10–15 years of electrical/heavy industrial construction experience.
• Direct power generation experience on gas turbine simple-cycle and combined-cycle plants.
• Hands-on and supervisory experience with electrical power distribution systems.
• Experience with cable tray, conduit, and raceway installation.
• Experience with medium- and low-voltage systems, switchgear, transformers, MCCs.
• Startup and commissioning support experience.
• Ability to read and interpret drawings, one-lines, schematics, and specifications.
• Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
• Excellent safety and quality focus.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise all electrical craft personnel on site.
• Plan, schedule, and coordinate electrical work to align with project schedule.
• Oversee installation, testing, and commissioning activities.
• Ensure compliance with NEC, NFPA, and safety standards.
• Interface with project management, engineering, quality, safety, and other craft disciplines.
• Conduct daily job briefings, toolbox talks, and pre-task planning.
• Monitor productivity, manpower loading, and material usage; adjust plans as needed.
