Job summary

Primoris Energy Services is seeking a General Electrical Superintendent to lead electrical construction on large-scale projects. You will oversee safety, scheduling, budgeting, and quality control while guiding foremen, journeymen, and apprentices to successful project delivery.

The role requires deep NEC knowledge, strong leadership, and effective collaboration with project teams, engineers, and clients. Willingness to travel and extend hours as project demands.

Qualifications

• Minimum 10 years of electrical construction experience with at least 5 years in a supervisory or superintendent role.
• Journeyman Electrician License or Master Electrician License preferred.
• Proven track record managing large-scale commercial or industrial electrical projects.
• In-depth knowledge of NEC and local electrical codes.
• Strong understanding of electrical systems including power distribution, lighting, control systems, and grounding.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Plan, schedule, and coordinate all electrical construction activities with manpower, materials, and equipment.
• Supervise and mentor foremen, journeymen, and apprentices, fostering safe work practices.
• Interpret blueprints, specifications, and construction documents for accurate execution.
• Implement and enforce safety policies; conduct safety inspections and meetings.
• Monitor progress, identify issues, and implement corrective actions to maintain schedules.
• Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other superintendents for integration.
• Manage project budgets, track costs, and seek efficiency improvements.
• Perform quality control inspections to ensure compliance with standards.
• Prepare daily reports and progress updates.
• Communicate with clients, subcontractors, and vendors.
• Troubleshoot issues and provide technical guidance to the field team.
• Participate in pre-construction meetings and advise on constructability and scheduling.
