Job summary

Upchurch in Mississippi seeks an Electrical Superintendent to oversee electrical construction on commercial, industrial, or infrastructure projects, ensuring safety, quality, and on-time delivery.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; technical training preferred.
• Journeyman or Master Electrician license where required by jurisdiction.
• Minimum 10 years in electrical construction, with 5 years in a supervisory or superintendent role.
• Strong understanding of NEC, OSHA, and construction practices.
• Proficiency in reading blueprints, schematics, and electrical drawings.
• Experience with project management software (Procore, MS Project, Bluebeam).

Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate electrical crews and subcontractors onsite.
• Ensure installations meet design specs, codes, and safety standards (NEC, OSHA).
• Review electrical plans, drawings, and specifications for proper execution.
• Maintain project schedules and report to the Project Manager.
• Conduct regular site inspections to identify and resolve issues.
• Ensure QA/QC requirements are met.
• Manage procurement and inventory of electrical materials and tools.
• Implement and enforce safety protocols and site regulations.
• Coordinate with other trades to avoid conflicts and optimize workflow.
• Document daily job activities and progress reports.
• All other duties as assigned.
