Job summary

Upchurch Companies is seeking a General Superintendent to lead field operations on large commercial, industrial, and mission-critical projects. This role focuses on coordinating multiple trades, ensuring safety, schedule, and quality while integrating BMS/EPMS systems to achieve reliable building performance.

The ideal candidate will manage field teams, review drawings and specs, and partner with project management to drive execution and turnover. Travel to sites will be required.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of progressive construction experience with field supervision.
• Experience leading large-scale commercial, industrial, data center, healthcare, semiconductor, or mission-critical projects.
• Reading and interpreting construction drawings, specifications, and schedules.
• Knowledge of BMS/EPMS and commissioning processes.
• Willingness to travel and work extended hours.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership for daily field construction operations.
• Coordinate multiple trades, subcontractors, and field teams.
• Develop and maintain project execution plans, manpower plans, and schedules.
• Ensure work complies with contract documents, drawings, specifications, and codes.
• Lead coordination meetings and monitor project progress.
• Support commissioning and turnover activities, including testing.
