Job summary

Upchurch is a rapidly growing building engineering company delivering mechanical, plumbing, HVAC, and electrical services across the southeastern United States. The General Superintendent will provide overall field leadership for commercial, industrial, or mission-critical construction projects, coordinating multiple trades and ensuring safety, quality, and on-time delivery.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of progressive construction experience with field supervision.
• Experience leading large-scale commercial, industrial, data center or mission-critical projects.
• Familiarity with BMS/EPMS and system integration.
• Ability to read drawings, specs, schedules and technical docs.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership and direction for daily field construction operations.
• Coordinate superintendents, foremen, subcontractors, and trade partners.
• Develop and maintain project execution and manpower plans.
• Coordinate trades to optimize sequencing and minimize conflicts.
• Partner with project managers, engineers, and owners to drive progress.
• Lead coordination meetings and communicate field priorities.
• Monitor progress, identify delays, and address resource constraints.
• Ensure work aligns with drawings, specs, submittals, and codes.
• Oversee quality control, safety, and field documentation.
• Travel to project sites as required.
