Job summary

Stanley Consultants seeks an Electrical Substation Student Intern to join the Denver, CO office. The role offers hands-on exposure to substation design within a multidisciplinary team, with opportunities to contribute to layouts, schematics, and coordination across disciplines.

Candidates must be enrolled in a BSEE program at an ABET-accredited university, maintain a 3.0 GPA or higher, and be eligible to work in the United States without sponsorship. Local CO residency is preferred.

Qualifications

• Coursework or experience in power system analysis.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Must be enrolled in a BSEE program at an ABET-accredited university.
• GPA of 3.0 or higher.

Responsibilities

• Understand various aspects of substation design.
• Design substation layouts, lightning protection, conduit and cable plans, grounding analysis.
• Generate single- and three-line schematic diagrams, panel wiring, DC schematics, and relay panel layouts; coordinate with other disciplines.
• Work as part of a design team on multiple projects.
