Job summary

Transmission & Distribution World in Middletown, Ohio, is seeking an Electrical Specialist Mechanic for the 11p-7a shift to maintain electrical systems and keep production equipment running at peak efficiency.

The role includes troubleshooting programmable controllers and drive systems, following documented procedures, and training other maintenance staff. Flexibility to work additional hours and uphold safety and housekeeping standards is required.

Qualifications

• Ability to read and follow factory instructions.
• Ability to read a tape measure with speed and accuracy.
• Ability to calculate figures such as percentages, measurement, volume and rate.
• Ability to apply concepts of high school math.
• Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions.
• Ability to deal with problems involving one or more concrete variables in standardized situations.
• Working knowledge of equipment design and capabilities that can be translated into efficient operation.
• Understanding product layouts and production specifications.
• Familiarity with product quality specifications and quality standards.

Responsibilities

• Follow safe work habits at all times.
• Demonstrate ability to parallel all rolls and set up for optimum equipment performance.
• Demonstrate ability to teach other maintenance classifications and proper procedures.
• Troubleshoot programmable controllers and drive systems.
• Use maintenance software to manage work orders.
• Plan and schedule maintenance, assign work to others as needed.
• Follow up to ensure repairs are completed properly.
• Maximize equipment utilization and uptime.
• Complete paperwork neatly and per company guidelines.
• Willing to work all necessary hours and shifts.
• Maintain good housekeeping and comply with company policies.
• Additional duties may be assigned by management.
