Job summary

Cox-Powell in Williamsburg, VA is seeking a Sales / Project Manager for the Electrical Division. The role is a hunter position focusing on existing commercial and industrial accounts.

You will identify, propose, and close electrical upgrades and energy solutions, then coordinate manpower to deliver on projects, working with Sales and Operations teams. Applicants should have Virginia Electrical Master's License and a track record in commercial/industrial sales; base salary is $95k–$110k with

Qualifications

• Virginia Electrical Master's License is required.
• Strong knowledge of electrical systems and loads.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings.
• Proven sales or account management experience in commercial/industrial settings.
• Comfort pricing to protect margin and deliver results.
• Physical ability to access rooftops and mechanical spaces.

Responsibilities

• Prospect, propose, and sell electrical projects — retrofits, renovations, design-build, and energy solutions.
• Call on existing accounts to generate proposals for electrical upgrades and renovations.
• Create and maintain a proposal backlog sufficient to meet sales goals.
• Schedule and prioritize electrical manpower to support project delivery.
• Identify opportunities and close electrical upgrade opportunities.
• Size conduit, wire, disconnects, and breakers; determine electrical loads and scope lighting upgrades.
• Apply company pricing policy to hit gross margin targets.
