Job summary

Anduril Industries seeks an electrical test engineer to join the Dive-XL production line in Rhode Island. You will perform full-vehicle FAT tests, troubleshoot electrical and software issues, and work with technicians to ensure test procedures meet release specifications.

You will own test configurations, automate sequences with Python, and develop runbooks for rapid fault diagnosis. Some travel to Sydney may be required as the program expands.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical or computer engineering or equivalent experience.
• 3+ years designing tests for electromechanical hardware in manufacturing environments.
• Experience with hardware testing and automated test systems.
• Proficiency in Python, MATLAB, shell or similar.
• Knowledge of USB, Ethernet, RS-232, RS-485, PCIe, HDMI and CAN protocols.
• Experience with oscilloscopes, DMMs, programmable power supplies.
• Understanding of manufacturing test limits and failure modes.
• Experience with prototyping and running own tests and documenting results.
• Eligibility to obtain and maintain a U.S. Secret security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Run full-vehicle dry FAT and wet FAT on the production line, leading test procedures.
• Be the subject‑matter expert for electrical and software vehicle checks.
• Validate operator control stations and test configurations before FAT.
• Load software builds and verify device firmware/settings per release.
• Define value-adding tests and streamline test time while proving product requirements.
• Develop DFt feedback for design-for-test.
• Triage test failures and route issues to owners.
• Troubleshoot failures using telemetry and logs with data‑driven root cause analysis.
• Collaborate with global Dive‑XL teams and coordinate travel to Sydney as needed.
• Automate FAT sequences and maintain FAT procedures with design changes.
• Train technicians and write runbooks for faster issue resolution.
• Build dashboards to monitor pass/fail trends and first-pass yield.
