Job summary

Anduril Industries in Quincy, MA is seeking a Manufacturing Test Engineer to advance automated test procedures for electro-mechanical hardware and subsea robotics. You will develop high-fidelity test systems, work with engineers and technicians, and help scale production while maintaining quality.

You will design, execute and optimize end-to-end tests, build reusable test assets, generate clear logs, and contribute to FATs for AUVs and PCBA components.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience in a relevant field.
• Experience with hardware testing and automated test systems.
• Proficiency in Python, Matlab, or similar languages.
• Familiarity with hardware comms: USB, Ethernet, RS232/RS485, PCIe, HDMI, CAN.
• 3+ years in electro-mechanical hardware test design in manufacturing.
• Ability to design full system test plans and execute under tight timelines.
• Experience testing sensors, actuators, and electrical components.
• Eligible to obtain and maintain U.S. Secret clearance.

Responsibilities

• Build broad test capabilities across the manufacturing value stream from system to component levels.
• Develop, execute, and manage test ecosystem to de-risk hardware and hit reliability targets.
• Conduct hands-on, data-driven root cause analysis of electromechanical subsystems.
• Design and implement semi-automated testing equipment and protocols.
• Collaborate with design and systems teams through development cycles and production deployments.
• Maintain testing logs and create an error-code library for fast resolution.
• Create controlled test instructions for technicians in MES/TES environments.
• Optimize end-of-line FAT testing for AUVs and subsystems.
• Test PCBA and electrical components with hands-on testing and rework as needed.
