Job summary

Anduril Industries in Rhode Island seeks an electrical engineer who writes code to lead full-vehicle FAT testing on Dive-XL. You will troubleshoot electrical and software issues on the floor and in the test tank, wiring up the vehicle, verifying firmware, and improving test efficiency.

You’ll automate FAT sequences with Python, analyze logs, and build dashboards, collaborating with global teams and travel as needed. Relocation support may be available.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in electrical or computer engineering or equivalent
• 3+ years designing tests for electromechanical hardware
• Hardware testing and automated test systems
• Programming in Python, MATLAB, shell or similar
• Communication protocols such as USB, Ethernet, RS-232, RS-485, PCIe, HDMI and CAN
• Bench equipment such as oscilloscopes, DMMs and programmable power supplies
• Manufacturing test limits and common failure modes
• Full system test plans for fast product timelines
• Programming and testing sensors, actuators and electrical components
• Prototype and run tests end-to-end
• Eligible to obtain and maintain an active U.S. Secret security clearance

Responsibilities

• Run full-vehicle dry FAT and wet FAT in test tank with technicians
• Become subject-matter expert on electrical and software checks
• Validate operator control stations for vehicle operation
• Load software builds and verify firmware/settings align with release
• Decide which tests add value and optimize test time
• Push tests upstream to catch issues early and provide DFT feedback
• Triage failed steps and route to correct owners
• Troubleshoot failures using telemetry and logs with data-driven root cause
• Collaborate with global Dive-XL teams and implement fixes on the line
• Automate FAT steps for repeatable, recorded results
• Maintain FAT procedures with design changes and train technicians
• Write troubleshooting runbooks detailing symptoms and fixes
• Use Python and AI tools to automate test sequences and dashboards
• Coordinate with Sydney team and travel when required
