Qualifications

• Eight or more years of position related experience.
• Able to read and interpret electrical schematics.
• Good understanding of the control panel assembly process as it relates to time impacts on product and fabrication costs.
• Good understanding of union collective bargaining agreements.
• Good understanding of assembly and construction processes as they relate to time impacts on product and fabrication costs.
• Good understanding of paint finishing related products and systems.
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office: Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Knowledge of SAP is a plus.
• Ability to understand and maintain project schedules.
• Good organizational skills.
• Good technical writing skills.
• Able to effectively communicate with engineering and estimating departments, contractors, suppliers, and customers.
• Able to work well independently and in a team environment.
• Able to technically define problems and propose solutions.
• Adaptable to change in a learning environment.
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate a team.

Responsibilities

• Estimate control panel and product wiring costs.
• Manage the control panel assembly process and assign the necessary resources to meet project schedules.
• Maintain and update the database of electrical product costs / history.
• Update and maintain equipment preventative maintenance procedures and records.
• Attend and input manufacturing strategy meetings.
• Purchase electrical components.
• Management and control of union personnel including hiring and layoffs.
• Establish and maintain electrical panel shop continuous improvement and cost reduction programs.
