Job summary

Axsom Air of LA is seeking an Electrician to perform residential service and installation work. You’ll work independently yet collaborate with a team, communicating clearly with customers under stress and helping ensure they are in good hands.

Responsibilities include servicing and upgrading electrical systems, balancing customer needs with safety, maintaining your truck inventory, and complying with local codes. A valid journeyman license or progression toward one is preferred.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in residential electrical work.
• Journeyman License (or able to obtain within 6 months).
• Strong customer service and interpersonal communication skills.
• Ability to present repair vs. replacement options to customers.
• Knowledge of safe tool use and maintenance.
• High School Diploma or GED.
• Clean driving record.

Responsibilities

• Service, install, reconnect, and upgrade electrical systems and heating/AC equipment and water heaters.
• Analyze work orders, follow daily travel schedule, listen to customer concerns, perform work, and proactively solve problems.
• Maintain truck inventory.
• Troubleshoot and diagnose residential electrical issues.
• Provide excellent customer service to customers.
• Adhere to local and state codes.
• Install and maintain wiring, control, and lighting systems.
• Identify, repair, or replace wiring, equipment, or fixtures using testing devices and various tools.

Essential Job Functions

• Serve customers by analyzing work orders, following a daily travel schedule, listening to customerconcerns, performing designated work, and proactively solving problems

Required Qualifications

• 3+ years of experienceof residential electrical work

• Journeyman License or able to obtain within 6 months (preferred)

• Ability to provide repair versus replacement options to customers

• Knowledgeable and skilled in the safe use and maintenance of required tools

• High School Diploma or GED

• Clean driving record

• Basic computer skills, ability to use an iPad to document work

• Ability to speak, read, and write fluently in the English language

Preferred Qualifications

• Service Titan experience

• Sales experience

Compensation & Hours

• Commission Pay based on experience

• Hours: 7:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. (flexible start and end times depending on business needs)

• Days: Monday - Friday, on call rotation
