Job summary

Rodenhiser Home Services in Massachusetts is seeking a qualified electrician to diagnose and repair residential electrical systems and guide customers toward informed decisions.

You will complete service calls, establish rapport, educate on financing and maintenance plans, mentor apprentices, and keep a clean, well-organized truck and job site. A MA Journeyman Electrician license and a valid driver’s license are required.

Qualifications

• Hold Massachusetts Journeyman Electrician License.
• Competent in the use of tools and resources related to basic service calls.
• Knowledge of Electrical codes and proper safety standards.
• Ability to explain technical information to non-technical customers.
• Ability to take timely action to solve problems using established policies and procedures.
• Ability to read and understand policy manuals, safety, rules, and procedures.
• Engaged in further technical development (i.e. Different disciplines and cross-training).
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
• Ability to take direction and/or technical instruction.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair electrical residential systems and lead customers to informed, and confident buying decisions.
• Complete electrical residential service calls.
• Establish customer rapport to instill confidence in team and sell the right products and services.
• Ask proper lifestyle questions to troubleshoot heating and cooling system malfunctions.
• Educate and assist customers in choosing the best finance options and maintenance plans.
• Ability to exceed minimum KPI goal.
• Successfully complete follow up calls.
• Train and mentor apprentices to ensure quick, accurate repairs and installations.
• Explain replacement opportunities for aging, inefficient or underperforming systems.
• Maintain a clean, organized job site and well inventoried truck.

The Big Task

Rodenhiser Home Services is an equal-opportunity employer committed to fair and equitable pay practices. The expected base salary range for this position is $55,000-$125,000, based on responsibilities, experience, and other relevant factors. Employees may also be eligible for bonuses, commissions, or other variable compensation depending on their position. Total compensation is determined through a structured review considering experience, education, certifications, and licenses.
