Job summary

Hiller Plumbing, Heating, Cooling & Electrical in Florence, AL is seeking an experienced electrician to install, upgrade and service electrical systems in residential settings, including generators, rewires, services and panels. You will work to code, with an emphasis on safety and customer satisfaction.

Ideal candidates have at least 2 years of electrical experience, a valid driver's license, and willingness to on-call.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years service or construction experience in electrical work.
• Detail-oriented for safety in the electrical field.
• Team oriented with good communication skills.
• Willing to work hours outside of normal schedule and on-call as needed.

Responsibilities

• Install and upgrade electrical components including generators, rewires, additions, services, panels.
• Provide electrical service and repair to homes, apartments, and businesses.
• Coordinate with utility providers and local code officials to ensure compliance.
• Adhere to OSHA safety standards and wear proper PPE.
• Keep truck stocked and inventory accurate.

Job Responsibilities

• Install and/or Upgrade a wide variety of electrical components ranging from generators, rewires, additions, services, panels, etc..
• Provide electrical service and/or repair to customers’ homes, apartments, and businesses
• Coordinate with utility service providers and local code officials to ensure proper guidelines are established.
• Responsible for adhering to all OSHA safety standards and regulations including the use of proper PPE at all times
• Keep truck clean, stocked and accurately inventoried

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

• A minimum of 2 years of service or construction experience preferred in installation, maintenance, troubleshooting and correcting diverse electrical service issues.
• Must be highly detail-oriented due to the nature of the electrical field in ensure safety for fellow technicians, self, and property.
• Must be team oriented
• Ability to communicate effectively with customers and fellow coworkers

Education/Certification Requirements

• AL State/LLE Electrical License preferred.
• A High School diploma or general education degree (GED) required.
• A valid driver's license required
• Willing to work hours outside of normal work schedule and on call schedule
