Job summary

Hiller Plumbing, Heating, Cooling & Electrical in Florence, SC is seeking an experienced Electrical Service Technician to install, upgrade and repair electrical systems for homes and businesses. You will work with generators, panels and outages, and coordinate with utility providers while following OSHA safety rules.

You must have a minimum of 2 years in service or construction, a High School diploma or GED, and a valid driver’s license. On-call hours and flexible scheduling are required.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of service or construction experience preferred in electrical installation, maintenance, troubleshooting and repair.
• Must be detail-oriented and able to communicate effectively with customers and coworkers.

Responsibilities

• Install and/or upgrade electrical components including generators, rewires, services and panels.
• Provide electrical service and/or repair to residential and commercial sites.
• Coordinate with utility providers and local code officials to ensure compliance.
• Adhere to OSHA safety standards and wear proper PPE at all times.
• Keep truck clean, stocked and accurately inventoried.

Job Responsibilities:

• Install and/or Upgrade a wide variety of electrical components ranging from generators, rewires, additions, services, panels, etc..
• Provide electrical service and/or repair to customers’ homes, apartments, and businesses
• Coordinate with utility service providers (NES, MTEMC, CEMC, etc.) and local code officials to ensure proper guidelines are established.
• Responsible for adhering to all OSHA safety standards and regulations including the use of proper PPE at all times
• Keep truck clean, stocked and accurately inventoried

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

• A minimum of 2 years of service or construction experience preferred in installation, maintenance, troubleshooting and correcting diverse electrical service issues.
• Must be highly detail-oriented due to the nature of the electrical field in ensure safety for fellow technicians, self, and property.
• Must be team oriented
• Ability to communicate effectively with customers and fellow coworkers

Education/Certification Requirements:

• TN State/LLE Electrical License preferred.
• A High School diploma or general education degree (GED) required.
• A valid driver’s license required
• Willing to work hours outside of normal work schedule and on call schedule
