Job summary

McKinstry is seeking a Project Manager – Electrical Service to own the full lifecycle of commercial electrical work across Western Washington. You will lead scoping, estimating, scheduling, execution, billing, and client retention for a portfolio spanning commercial facilities, light industrial, health care, and mixed‑use properties.

You will coordinate electricians, manage costs, support renewals, and ensure code compliance while collaborating with cross‑functional teams.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of experience managing commercial electrical service work or electrical project management.
• Strong working knowledge of NEC, NFPA 70E, Life Safety Codes, and Washington State electrical permitting requirements.
• Experience developing T&M and lump sum estimates and proposals for commercial electrical projects.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel) and ERP/construction management software such as ViewPoint; Salesforce a plus.

Responsibilities

• Manage a portfolio of electrical service accounts and owner‑direct projects up to $1M.
• Develop scopes of work, estimates and proposals for new and existing service accounts.
• Coordinate scheduling and dispatch of electricians and service technicians.
• Manage job cost, WIP and billing; prepare change orders and monitor margins.
• Serve as primary client contact and support contract renewals and expansions.
• Manage permitting and AHJ inspections for project scope.
• Grow electrical service account base through internal and external business development.
• Enforce safety standards and participate in safety observations per OSHA.
