McKinstry is hiring an Electrical Construction Estimator to join a growing team in the Pacific Northwest. The role focuses on developing accurate estimates for electrical, low voltage, and related systems on large-scale projects, leveraging provide schematic and design information.

The ideal candidate has 4+ years of electrical construction estimating, proficiency in Takeoff software, and strong collaboration with engineering, sales, and operations.

Competenze

• Minimum 4 years of experience estimating electrical construction projects.
• Ability to read schematic and design drawings and translate to estimates.
• Proficiency with estimation software and Microsoft Office.

Mansioni

• Develop project cost estimates based on schematic or detailed designs.
• Perform detailed takeoffs in estimation software.
• Maintain estimation databases and cost histories.
• Review subcontractor and vendor quotes and clarify exclusions.
• Develop initial budgets with or without drawings/specifications.
• Collaborate with engineering, sales, and operations to identify risks.
• Assist in RFP development for subcontractors and vendors.
• Lead bid walks and communicate project estimates to stakeholders.
• Mentor junior estimators and maintain bid logs.
