Job summary

Siemens is seeking an Electrical Service Specialist for our Tempe, Arizona location. You will perform startup, commissioning, maintenance, and troubleshooting of medium and low voltage electrical power systems, including transformers, switchgear, protective relays, and distribution equipment.

You will lead installation and checkout tasks, support customers on site, and provide training and technical guidance. A strong background in electrical testing and safety codes is essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 5+ years troubleshooting and repairing electrical control circuits; thermography certification or ability to obtain.
• 5+ years electrical testing: primary current injection, resistance, dielectric, thermal scans.
• Experience with AC/DC high potential testing and transformer tests.
• Ability to read bills of materials, electrical blueprints, and power system study reports.
• Must be legally eligible to work in the United States without sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Lead basic to semi-complex installation and checkout of electrical components.
• Perform onsite technical support for design, development, and maintenance of equipment.
• Train customer personnel on proper operation and routine inspections; mentor staff.
• Plan labor, material costs, and transportation for proposals; review installation schematics.
