Job summary

Siemens is seeking an Electrical Service Specialist to assist with startup, commissioning, maintenance, and troubleshooting of medium and low voltage power systems. You will work on transformers, switchgear, protective relays, motor control centers, and VFDs, supporting service installations and upgrades at customer sites.

The role requires hands-on electrical expertise, ability to lift up to 75 pounds, and willingness to travel to support projects.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• 2+ years of experience troubleshooting and repairing electrical control circuits and ability to obtain thermography certification.
• 2+ years of experience with electrical testing, including dielectric testing and thermal scans on medium/low-voltage systems.
• 2+ years of experience using electrical test sets for AC/DC high-potential testing and related procedures.
• Interpreting protective coordination studies and configuring protective relays.
• Reading bills of material, electrical blueprints, and power system study reports.
• Installation, commissioning, and maintenance of low/medium-voltage power distribution systems.
• Must be able to carry/move tools up to 75 pounds; valid driver's license; eligible for Siemens fleet vehicle program.
• Legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Assist with installation and checkout of electrical components for systems and service jobs.
• Perform vibration analysis, metering, battery maintenance and testing, and power quality checks.
• Provide site surveys to develop base or installation design plans.
• Train customers on operation and routine inspections; complete and submit activity reports.
