Job summary

Rainier Recruiting seeks a Service Manager in Stockton, CA to lead a team of Service Technicians and cultivate client relationships. The role requires frequent travel, including overnight trips, and oversight of daily service department operations across multiple locations.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum 2 years of experience managing multiple crews.
• Professional and business-like demeanor with customers.
• Knowledge of electrical concepts, codes, life safety codes, NFPA and related standards.
• Understanding of lead-acid batteries and appropriate installation.
• Ability to read, write, and understand English.
• Ability to read drawings and technical manuals.
• Strong writing, math, mechanical, communication, and PC skills.
• Valid driving record and pass drug/background checks.

Responsibilities

• Manage the administrative functions of the Service Department: hiring, training, billing, paperwork, PTO scheduling.
• Maintain open communication with employees, departments, customers, and vendors.
• Staffing to meet customer and business needs without excessive overtime.
• Audit staff performance, service quality, and paperwork; suggest policy changes.
• Coordinate with Engineering, Quality, Training, and Safety to ensure compliance with QMS and safety standards.
• Maintain inventory of consumables and tools; manage equipment and time accounting.
• Lead training, safety meetings, career development, and reviews for service personnel.
• Organize and schedule maintenance, replacements, and service work orders.
