Job summary

Rexel USA in Livermore, CA, is seeking a Sales Trainee to join our team. The program covers product knowledge, warehouse operations, and customer service, with exposure to all facets of the sales process.

Trainees will rotate through branch, warehouse, and project roles to understand operations and logistics. Upon successful completion, you may apply for a sales role within the company, with opportunities to shadow sales calls and grow in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of customer service, sales, or related experience.
• High School or GED - Required.

Responsibilities

• Complete the Sales Trainee orientation program with emphasis in product knowledge, warehouse operations, customer service, sales, and marketing support.
• Gain knowledge of all aspects of the sales process including outside, inside, and counter sales, project management, etc.
• Become proficient in answering customer inquiries regarding product needs and processing orders.
• Generate quotes and prices, provide delivery specifications and payment terms, and offer substitute products where appropriate.
• Learn to build and maintain customer relationships and provide excellent customer service, and be responsive to requests for information.
• Learn and complete operational documents and reports such as counter sales reports, shipping documents, tickets, price sheets, and catalogs.
• Learn and become proficient in the computer tools and systems used in day-to-day operations.
• Work hands-on in a rotation of various roles within a branch, warehouse, project house, etc. to understand operations and logistics of the materials flow and sales.
• May travel on sales calls to shadow.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
