Job summary

Viking Electric, part of the Sonepar family, is seeking a Sales Manager in Duluth, MN. This full-time role leads a sales team, drives market share, and delivers strong customer outcomes with a focus on profit growth.

You will hire, coach, and mentor sales associates, align resources, and implement strategic plans to expand presence in the assigned geography, while maintaining relationships with key customers and meeting growth targets.

Qualifications

• Minimum education: High school diploma; Bachelor's degree preferred.
• 5+ years of sales experience.
• Strong knowledge of financial statements and ability to manage financial performance.
• Must have valid driver's license.
• This position occasionally requires work in the evenings and on weekends.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to build relationships.
• Authorized to work in the United States without visa sponsorship now or in the future.

Responsibilities

• Manage/grow sales and profit for the assigned geography.
• Hire, train, coach, and mentor sales associates.
• Align sales resources to grow market share and account penetration based on customer persona.
• Actively engage with sales teams through regular meetings, joint customer calls, and strategic planning for high-value opportunities.
• Develop and execute strategic plans to achieve market share and geographic growth.
• Report on forces that shift strategic directions of accounts to leadership team.
• Build and maintain long-lasting relationships with customers and understand their business objectives.
