Job summary

JM Test Systems, LLC. is seeking an Electrical Safety Technician to test, certify, and calibrate high-voltage safety equipment across our lab and customer sites. The role involves travel with overnight stays and hands-on work with gloves, hot sticks, and meters.

You will ensure compliance with ASTM, OSHA, or NETA standards, maintain accurate records, and support setup, teardown, and maintenance of test stations in a dynamic field-lab environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Basic understanding of electrical safety and high-voltage equipment.
• Strong attention to detail and meticulous record-keeping.
• Basic computer skills including Excel and Word.
• Willingness to travel regularly, including overnight stays.

Responsibilities

• Test and certify safety equipment and perform high-voltage dielectric testing.
• Calibrate and troubleshoot low- and medium-voltage test instruments.
• Identify non-conformances and flag items for repair or decommissioning.
• Maintain accurate testing and inspection records per requirements.
• Safely operate test benches, voltage sources, and maintain lab equipment and inventory.
• Communicate results and status to supervisors, teammates, and customers.
• Follow safety protocols and wear PPE in high-voltage environments.
