Qualifications

• 5+ years of construction safety experience with electrical exposure.
• Knowledge of OSHA 1926, NFPA 70E, lockout/tagout, arc-flash PPE categories or incident-energy methods, and temporary electrical installations.
• OSHA 30-Hour Construction required; OSHA 500 preferred. NFPA 70E training required.
• CSP, ASP, CHST, or STS preferred.
• Experience writing site-specific safety plans, investigations, and training documentation.
• Willingness to travel regularly to San Antonio/South Texas projects; valid driver’s license.
• Strong communication; bilingual English/Spanish a plus.
• Associate degree or higher in safety, construction management, or related field; electrical trade experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and enforce SWECS safety program, site safety plans, and project safety requirements.
• Ensure compliance with OSHA 1926, NFPA 70E, and related standards across sites.
• Lead electrical safety program: arc-flash, lockout/tagout, and temp power.
• Conduct job hazard analyses, pre-task planning, and site inspections; document findings.
• Investigate incidents and near misses; perform root-cause analysis and corrective actions.
• Deliver safety training: OSHA 10/30, NFPA 70E, fall protection, scaffolding, and other electrical trainings; maintain records.
• Audit PPE use and availability; ensure serviceable equipment.
• Assist preconstruction with safety planning, submittals, and client orientations.
• Monitor safety metrics and report trends to leadership.
• Represent SWECS at client, GC, and regulatory inspections; promote stop-work culture.
