Job summary
Ramboll’s Water U.S. Construction Management Division seeks an Electrical Resident Engineer to lead electrical construction oversight for municipal water projects across the Mid-Atlantic region, with potential travel to other sites.
You will analyze concepts, supervise crews, ensure compliance, and support design coordination. You will work with cross-disciplinary teams, perform critical calculations, and contribute to commissioning and startup activities while advancing sustainable
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering (BEng/BSc) or equivalent.
- 4+ years in engineering/design within construction management.
- Strong problem-solving and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication; able to collaborate with clients, contractors, and design teams.
- PE license preferred; municipal/state agency experience beneficial.
Responsibilities
- Oversee construction procedures to ensure compliance with contract documents.
- Direct Construction Superintendents, Project Managers, Foremen and others.
- Review design criteria, drawings, submittals, RFIs, changes, and coordination.
- Perform engineering calculations for pump, concrete, hydraulics, and electrical adequacy.
- Assist Design Engineer with conceptual change management and scope.
