Job summary

IES Commercial, Inc. – DBA IES Electrical, in Suffolk, VA, is seeking a Recruiter to manage the recruiting process and ensure compliance with hiring policies.

The role involves open requisition and pipeline recruiting, posting jobs online, communicating internal postings, updating the ATS, attending career fairs, and building relationships with local organizations. Travel may be required.

Qualifications

• 2 years' skilled trades staffing experience, electrical industry preferred.
• PRC certification a plus.
• 1 year experience using Applicant Tracking and Pipeline Recruiting software.
• Knowledge of MS Office, internet navigation, social media, and employment laws (FCRA).
• Strong oral and written communication and organizational skills.
• Hands-on, self-starter with ability to manage multiple priorities and collaborate across levels.
• Pass pre-employment background and MVR checks when operating vehicles.

Responsibilities

• Performs all functions related to the recruiting process and ensures compliance with company hiring policies and procedures.
• Develops open requisition and pipeline recruiting activities; reviews recommendations with HR to staff projects with qualified craft workers.
• Utilizes internet, social media, and online resources to post jobs externally.
• Assists in communicating internal job postings and employee referral programs.
• Maintains timely ATS updates with reasons for rejections, interview results, and final dispositions.
• Develops and implements employee engagement initiatives and activities.
• Attends career fairs from schools to veteran events.
• Represents the organization in building relationships with local organizations for community involvement.
• Completes additional duties as assigned; travels as required.
