Job summary

IES Commercial, Inc. – DBA IES Electrical is seeking a full-time QA/QC Coordinator in Chester, VA to support QA/QC standards development and site inspections.

The role emphasizes identifying non-conformances, coordinating corrective actions, and maintaining comprehensive QA/QC documentation. The candidate will monitor quality performance, ensure adherence to specifications and codes, and work with the Project Team to ensure installations meet requirements on the first pass.

Qualifications

• 2-5 years' electrical (industrial or commercial) construction experience.
• HS Diploma/GED.
• Understanding of electrical construction standards, equipment and installations.
• Data Center experience preferred.
• Electrical field experience preferred.
• Construction disciplines knowledge.
• Proficient in Excel/Word.
• Strong communication, problem solving, analytical, organizational and detail orientation.

Responsibilities

• Assist in development of QA/QC standards and continuous improvement evaluations and revisions.
• Identify non-conformances and issue corrective/preventive action reports.
• Monitor corrective actions and verify closure of quality issues.
• Maintain accurate QA/QC documentation and records.
• Report quality performance metrics to management.
• Coordinate inspections, tests, and audits at various project stages.
• Ensure compliance with project specifications, company standards, and applicable codes/regulations.
• Perform onsite inspections of equipment and installations.
• Proactively work with Project Team to ensure installations are correct first time.
• Perform work onsite with Project Team in inspections and reports.
• Ensure compliance with all company and customer safety policies and procedures.
