Job Title: Project Superintendent
Location: Indiana (Position based in Indiana with travel per diem)
Scope of Work: The Project Superintendent is responsible for providing leadership, management, and supervision of electrical projects within the commercial and industrial sectors. This includes overseeing safe installations, alterations, additions, and repairs of electrical systems, conductors, and related materials and equipment. The role involves managing teams of 25+ employees on each project.
Responsibilities
- Manage teams of electricians, ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and safely. Set performance goals and motivate crews to meet or exceed these goals.
- Lead and coordinate crews including apprentices, journeypersons, and supervisors. Delegate tasks effectively to meet project objectives.
- Plan project work, coordinate scheduling of materials, tools, and equipment to adhere to scope, budget, and schedule. Supervise on-site construction, trade contractors, and field personnel.
- Ensure quality assurance and client satisfaction by reviewing project documents, resolving construction issues, and overseeing project close-outs. Maintain positive relationships with clients.
- Ensure compliance with standard operating procedures, project costs, timelines, and quality standards.
- Conduct annual performance evaluations for team members.
- Report to the General Superintendent, Project Manager, or Project Executive. Collaborate with other departments such as Estimating, Accounting, and Human Resources.
- Engage with stakeholders including owners, architects, engineers, trade contractors, and vendors.
- Maintain required licensing and training.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Minimum Requirements
- Licensing as required by state.
- High school diploma, G.E.D., or equivalent.
- Completion of an approved electrical apprenticeship program. At least four years of field supervision or management experience.
- Strong interpersonal, communication, organization skills, and proficiency with technology and computers.
