Job summary

Carlton Electric, Inc. is seeking a seasoned Project Manager in Denver, CO. The role reports to the Director of Construction Operations and requires strong leadership to drive project success for electrical and mechanical jobs.

You will manage schedules, budgets, and relationships with clients and field teams, ensuring adherence to codes and safety standards while delivering profitable outcomes. Occasional remote work is possible after training.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in construction management or electrical engineering or related field preferred.
• 5+ years of project management experience with electrical or mechanical contractors.
• Proficiency with Viewpoint/Spectrum, Bluebeam and Procore.
• Familiarity with labor productivity tracking, cost-to-complete schedules, and WIP schedules.
• PMP certification is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Exemplify Carlton Core—support goals, growth, and development with a field-first attitude.
• Build and maintain strong, profitable customer relationships through regular communication and alignment on project goals.
• Lead integrated project teams to deliver successful outcomes while ensuring compliance with codes, safety regulations, and company standards.
• Manage financial aspects of projects, including accurate cost estimates, budget adherence, and monthly reviews with the Controller and operations team.
• Plan and execute projects to meet profitability, schedule, and customer satisfaction targets.
• Manage and document change orders with proper approvals and scope adjustments.
• Collaborate daily with construction operations, purchasing, and project coordination teams.
• Oversee projects valued at $2M-$5M+ with accuracy, efficiency, and enthusiasm.
• Identify and mitigate risks to keep projects on track and within budget.
• Review customer contracts to clarify scope and responsibilities.
