Job summary

GPAC is seeking an experienced Electrical PM/Estimator to join a well-established local electrical contractor in the St. Louis area.

The role covers estimating and project management for commercial and industrial projects, from initial bids through completion, with close collaboration with field teams and clients. The successful candidate will read drawings, develop estimates, manage budgets, and oversee change orders, ensuring on-time, on-budget project delivery.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of electrical construction estimating and project management experience.
• Strong ability to read and interpret electrical drawings and specifications.
• Experience with estimating software such as Accubid, ConEst, McCormick or similar.

Responsibilities

• Estimate local commercial and industrial electrical projects.
• Review drawings, specs, scopes, and bid documents.
• Complete material and labor takeoffs.
• Develop project estimates and competitive bids.
• Manage awarded projects from contract through completion.
• Oversee project budgets, schedules, and profitability.
• Manage change orders, RFIs, submittals, and project documentation.
• Coordinate with GC, customers, vendors, and subcontractors.
• Work with Superintendents and Foremen in the field.

A well-established local electrical contractor is looking to add an experienced Electrical PM/Estimator to their team. The company has a strong backlog of local commercial and industrial projects and is looking for someone who can handle both estimating and project management responsibilities.

This is a great opportunity for someone with a strong understanding of electrical construction who enjoys being involved throughout the entire process, from winning the work through project completion.

Responsibilities

• Estimate local commercial and industrial electrical projects
• Review drawings, specifications, scopes, and bid documents
• Complete material and labor takeoffs
• Develop project estimates and competitive bids
• Manage awarded projects from contract through completion
• Oversee project budgets, schedules, and profitability
• Manage change orders, RFIs, submittals, and project documentation
• Coordinate with General Contractors, customers, vendors, and subcontractors
• Work closely with Superintendents and Foremen in the field
• Assist with project turnover and ensure successful project execution

Requirements

• 5+ years of electrical construction experience
• Experience in both electrical estimating and project management
• Strong commercial and/or industrial electrical background
• Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings and specifications
• Strong understanding of electrical materials, labor, and construction methods
• Experience with estimating software such as Accubid, ConEst, McCormick, or similar
• Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills
• Ability to manage multiple projects and estimates
