Job summary

Actalent in Jacksonville, FL is seeking a Project Manager to oversee technical services and project management, including documentation, manufacturing engineering support, and delivery of projects from $50K to over $5.0M.

The role requires 5–7+ years in electrical project management, panel manufacturing, and related fields; PE/PMP preferred; onsite work with up to 5% travel. You will lead cross-functional teams, manage budgets and schedules, and ensure compliance with codes and contracts.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor of Science degree in engineering or related discipline (BSEE preferred).
  • PE and PMP certifications are preferred but not required.
  • Experience in managing capital projects up to $5+ million.
  • Associates degree and significant experience will be considered.

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Project Manager to oversee technical services and project management functions. The ideal candidate will manage technical documentation and provide manufacturing engineering support while ensuring the successful delivery of projects ranging from $50K to over $5.0M.

Responsibilities
  • Manage technical documentation and provide manufacturing engineering support for electrical panel and modular building production.
  • Lead drawing reviews, BOM validation, and the development of fabrication instructions.
  • Establish documentation standards, traveler systems, and quality checkpoints.
  • Collaborate with Production, Quality, and Project Management teams to ensure on-time and accurate builds.
  • Mentor technicians and junior engineers on documentation and fabrication standards.
  • Lead root cause analysis and implement corrective actions for production issues.
  • Support the hiring and development of Technical Services team members.
  • Support projects ensuring schedule, scope, and profitability are maintained.
  • Interpret technical drawings, specifications, and commercial contracts.
  • Ensure project teams understand contractual scope and responsibilities.
  • Develop and maintain project documentation including RFIs, submittals, change requests, schedules, and status reports.
  • Track progress, manage changes, and maintain project schedules.
  • Manage purchasing, subcontractors, and develop and negotiate change orders.
  • Develop cash flow plans and provide financial forecasts.
  • Serve as the primary customer interface during project execution.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable codes, regulations, and contract requirements.
  • Travel up to 5% for customer and pre-bid meetings.
Essential Skills
  • Strong organizational, communication, and leadership skills.
  • Ability to analyze complex electrical drawings and specifications.
  • 5–7+ years of experience in electrical project management, panel manufacturing, technical services, and/or quality roles.
  • Experience with utility protection and control systems and electric utilities.
  • Project management skills with experience in electrical engineering.
  • Experience in electrical utility protection and control systems.
  • Bachelor of Science degree in engineering or related discipline (BSEE preferred).
  • Experience working with electric utility companies or in related industries.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
  • PE and PMP certifications are preferred but not required.
  • Team-oriented, detail-focused, and adaptable.
  • Experience in managing capital projects up to $5+ million.
  • Associates degree and significant experience will be considered.
Work Environment

The work environment involves collaboration with cross-functional teams including Production, Quality, and Project Management. Occasional travel up to 5% is required for customer and pre-bid meetings. The position involves working with electrical engineering technologies and requires adherence to documentation and quality standards.

This is a Permanent position based out of Jacksonville, FL.

Pay And Benefits

The pay range for this position is $115000.00 - $150000.00/yr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
