Job summary

Actalent seeks an Electrical Engineer in Dallas, TX to join the product development team designing power distribution equipment for commercial and industrial applications. You will manage the full lifecycle from design to testing, supporting switchgear, switchboards, PDUs, and control panels.

Responsibilities include drafting schematics and BOMs, collaborating with mechanical and manufacturing teams, conducting power system analyses, and ensuring UL/IEEE/ANSI/NEC compliance.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering.
  • 3+ years of experience in electrical equipment or power distribution design.
  • Experience with switchgear, switchboards, control panels, or similar electrical products.
  • Proficiency with AutoCAD; AutoCAD Electrical is preferred.
  • Strong understanding of electrical schematics, single-line diagrams, and industry standards.
  • Excellent problem-solving, communication, and documentation skills.

  • Exposure to manufacturing processes and design-for-manufacturing principles.
Work Environment
  • Onsite position with flexible start times between 6:00 AM and 9:00 AM.
  • Potential for a hybrid schedule after approximately six months based on performance and business needs.
Job Type & Location

This is a Permanent position based out of Dallas, TX.

Pay And Benefits

The pay range for this position is $90000.00 - $140000.00/yr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
