Job summary

Actalent is seeking a Project Manager for Des Moines, IA to serve as the primary point of contact for customers throughout the project lifecycle, ensuring planning, coordination, and execution, while controlling scope, timelines, and budgets to deliver precise manufacturing-quality outcomes.

The role requires collaboration with engineering and production teams, drawing on AutoCAD proficiency, engineering knowledge, and PMP experience to deliver robust project deliverables on site.

Qualifications

• Project management experience within manufacturing or construction environments.
• Engineering knowledge with ability to interpret drawings.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and experience reading AutoCAD drawings.
• Experience with SolidWorks and MicroStation.
• PMP certification highly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate, and execute projects while managing scope, timelines, and budgets.
• Interpret customer specifications and translate requirements into actionable project deliverables.
• Monitor and manage changes affecting project scope, schedule, and cost.
• Produce and deliver accurate drawing packages to manufacturing partners.
• Identify challenges, troubleshoot issues, and make well-informed decisions.
• Uphold and enforce quality standards across all project phases.
• Build and sustain strong, long-term customer relationships.
• Assign and oversee work distributed to engineering and production teams.
• Track project metrics, evaluate outcomes, and document lessons learned for continuous improvement.

Work Environment

This role is based primarily in an office within a rapidly growing engineering and manufacturing organization. Project Managers spend 75–80% of their time at a desk collaborating with teams, with regular time on the production floor. Customer interaction occurs onsite, with rare travel limited to specialized installation teams. Work hours are Monday to Friday, 7:30 AM to 4 PM, totaling 40-hour work weeks. The team consists of 25 members, reporting to a manager.

Job Type & Location

This is a Permanent position based out of Des Moines, IA.

Pay And Benefits

The pay range for this position is $90000.00 - $120000.00/yr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
