Overview

Established in 1968, Ritch Electric is a well-respected commercial and institutional electrical contractor based in Columbus, GA. With a team of 33 and growing, we focus on high-quality renovations — especially at Fort Benning (making up ~50% of our work) and other local commercial projects. We are looking for a Project Manager to join our leadership pipeline and grow into a key role within our company. This position is ideal for an experienced electrician or field leader ready to transition into project management, or someone early in their PM journey who’s eager to be mentored and developed.

You’ll work closely with company leaders and manage commercial renovation projects ranging from $90k to $1.2M.

Key Responsibilities

• Attend job walks and project meetings

• Walk jobs to ensure quality and code compliance

• Read and interpret blueprints, specs, and scopes

• Create and manage submittals and documentation

• Order and track materials

• Assist with estimating using Excel and Bluebeam

• Use Bluebeam for field drawings and takeoffs

• Handle project administration tasks

• Lead and coordinate activities on-site (no direct reports initially)

• Serve as primary PM for small-to-midsize commercial projects

What We’re Looking For

Must-Have Experience & Skills:

• 10+ years in the electrical field

• Experience managing field work on $750k–$1M+ commercial jobs

• Strong blueprint/spec reading and code compliance knowledge

• Proficient with Excel and comfortable learning new software (Bluebeam )

• High computer literacy and organizational skills

Nice-to-Have:

• Bluebeam experience

• Estimating experience

• Previous transition from field to office

• Leadership of small teams on-site
