Minimum Experience Requirements for Project Manager

• 10+ years of commercial/industrial electrical experience.
• At least 5 years as a foreman or superintendent.
• 2 years as a project manager or assistant project manager.
• Relevant experience as an estimator, project engineer, or in management within construction.

Additional Requirements and Expectations

• High School diploma or GED.
• Pass a drug screen and background check.
• Training in apprenticeship, trade, or technical school preferred.
• Associate’s and/or Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
• Relevant licenses and certifications preferred.
• Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
• Ability to multi-task and work under time constraints.

Job Responsibilities and Skills

• Project planning, budgeting, scheduling, and management for multiple projects.
• Coordination with clients, general contractors, architects, engineers, and trades.
• Purchasing, materials management, and administration of vendor/subcontractor contracts.
• Manpower planning and allocation.
• Reading and interpreting plans, blueprints, and specifications.
• Preparing layout drawings.
• Handling RFIs, submittals, purchase orders, etc.
• Supporting estimators and engineers.
• Regular site visits and project meetings.
• Managing and developing jobsite leadership.
• Ensuring project QA/QC.
