Job summary

Superior is seeking a Project Estimator to interpret drawings, prepare takeoffs, and price change orders for electrical projects. The role requires coordinating with field teams, subcontractors, and clients to ensure changes align with project goals.

The ideal candidate has proven electrical estimator experience, solid knowledge of electrical systems and installation methods, and proficiency with estimating software.

Qualifications

• Experience as an Electrical Project Estimator in construction or related field.
• Strong knowledge of electrical systems, installation methods, and industry standards.
• Proficiency in estimating software (e.g., Accubid, Trimble, Bluebeam).
• Bonus: degree in Construction Systems Management or related field.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret contract drawings and project specs.
• Review RFIs, bulletins, and field directives to identify scope changes.
• Perform quantity takeoffs from updated drawings and field conditions.
• Develop change order scopes for labor, material, equipment, and subcontractors.
• Support change order pricing using labor units, historical data, and field productivity.
• Coordinate with field teams to validate installation methods and rates.
• Maintain change event logs and cost backup for submissions.
• Assist in identifying schedule impacts related to scope changes.
