Job summary

Stryker Electric Contracting in Palm City, FL is seeking a highly motivated Electrical Estimator to lead our estimating process for large-scale commercial and industrial projects, ensuring accurate cost projections and competitive pricing from bid through contract award.

The successful candidate will have 3–5 years of electrical estimating experience, be proficient in reading plans and specs, and skilled with Excel, Word and ConEst Estimating Software, with the ability to manage multiple bids

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of electrical estimating experience.
• Proficient in reading plans and specifications.
• Strong computer skills with Excel, Word and estimating software.
• Ability to multitask and work independently with limited supervision.
• Excellent communication with internal teams and clients.

Responsibilities

• Lead the estimating process for large-scale commercial and industrial projects with electrical scopes up to $10,000,000.
• Develop complete and accurate takeoffs from project plans and specifications.
• Prepare detailed and professional bid proposals.
• Clarify bid documents and prepare RFIs.
• Conduct post-bid follow-up, negotiate scope and pricing, and provide value engineering or scope modifications as needed.
• Work with vendors to obtain multiple competitive material quotes.
• Collaborate closely with the construction team throughout project execution.
• Create, manage, and track change orders.
• Maintain well-organized and accurate bid documentation.
• Manage multiple projects concurrently while ensuring accuracy and quality.
