Support project management by developing, reviewing, and updating electrical project estimates and schedules to ensure cost-efficient project execution. Analyze costs, validate contractor bids, and assist in project planning and risk assessment.
Responsibilities
- Prepare ROM, budgetary, unit pricing, and detailed estimates for electrical projects.
- Review design documents, scope packages, and contractor/engineering estimates.
- Validate quantities, change orders, and project costs.
- Develop estimate details by WBS to cost-load schedules.
- Perform cost analysis, risk assessment, and value engineering.
- Contribute to continuous improvement and lessons learned.
- Collaborate in a team/matrix structure and support multiple projects.
Qualifications
- High School + 10+ years Electrical estimating experience, or Associate/Bachelor’s in Electrical Engineering + relevant experience.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
- Experience with electrical systems, reading plans, and calculating labor/material costs.
- Familiarity with estimating software (e.g., On-Screen Takeoff).
- Ability to work on-site occasionally and in varying physical conditions.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
