Job summary

Matrix NAC, the direct hire union division of Matrix Service Company, is recruiting a Project Engineer for large-scale electrical projects including substations, refinery and industrial facilities. The role combines field execution support with part-time estimating duties out of the Broomall, PA office.

Requirements include a related degree or equivalent, strong communication, multitasking ability, and proficiency with Excel/MS Word; additional software skills are a plus. Full benefits offered.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Associate's degree in Construction Management, Engineering Technology or Electrical Engineering preferred.
• Strong communication skills, both written and oral, and good organizational skills.
• Ability to perform with some supervision and work on multiple activities at one time.
• Strong computer skills, including Excel and MS Word are preferred.
• Additional engineering, modeling or estimating software skills a plus.

Responsibilities

• Supports safety and Core Values; conducts site presence and interprets drawings/specifications.
• Documents and resolves technical issues at job sites; performs inspection of incoming materials.
• Assists project manager and construction superintendent with planning and record keeping.
• When not on site, works from the Broomall, PA office on project and estimating tasks.
• Interfaces for testing and commissioning of installed facilities; travels to meetings as required.
• Supports estimating with quantity takeoffs, drawing revisions, estimate reviews, and bid-stage interface with engineering and procurement.
