Briess Malt & Ingredients Co. seeks an experienced Plant & Facilities Electrical Project Engineer to lead electrical and automation projects across Chilton and Manitowoc, WI facilities. You will manage scopes, budgets, and schedules while coordinating with vendors and internal teams to install, startup, and commission systems.

The role emphasizes advancing automation, process optimization, cybersecurity of industrial networks, and adherence to food safety standards in a manufacturing setting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering required.
• Minimum 7–10 years engineering experience in manufacturing.
• Experience managing engineering or capital improvement projects.
• Experience in food, beverage, ingredient, pharmaceutical, or process manufacturing.
• Knowledge of Allen-Bradley based control systems, FactoryTalk, and RS Logix.
• Experience with SCADA, process instrumentation, and industrial networking.
• Understanding of Siemens and Ignition is a plus.
• Knowledge of sanitary manufacturing environments and food safety requirements.

Responsabilités

• Direct, coordinate, support and execute electrical engineering projects to improve infrastructure, equipment, utilities, and facilities.
• Develop project scopes, budgets, schedules, and technical specifications.
• Coordinate contractors, vendors, and internal stakeholders during project execution.
• Review electrical drawings, panel designs, and control narratives.
• Oversee equipment installations, start-ups, and commissioning activities.
• Support plant automation systems (PLCs, HMIs, SCADA) and control logic improvements.
• Collaborate with operations to optimize manufacturing through automation.
• Ensure cybersecurity best practices in industrial control systems.
• Support data collection, reporting, and system integration initiatives.
