Job summary

Bala Consulting Engineers in Arlington, VA is seeking an Electrical Project Engineer (MEP) to join our office team and lead electrical design across building systems.

You will design power distribution, fire alarm and lighting, perform site surveys, develop cost estimates, and coordinate with disciplines. A 7–10 year background in commercial/healthcare facilities and a PE/EIT is preferred; Revit proficiency required.

Qualifications

• 7 to 10 years of experience in designing electrical power distribution infrastructure, fire alarm systems, lighting systems, both interior and exterior, and lighting controls.
• Knowledge should include familiarity with short circuit, arc flash coordination, design of interior and exterior lighting, and photometric calculations.
• Background in commercial and healthcare facilities strongly preferred.
• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering.
• PE or EIT certification preferred.
• LEED accreditation preferred.
• Proficiency with Revit design software with at least 1 year experience of formal design use.
