Job summary

HOK in Dallas or Houston seeks an Electrical Project Engineer to lead design and delivery of electrical systems for large projects. You will work with architects and interdisciplinary teams to transform ambitious plans into high-performance buildings.

The role emphasizes project engineering for mid‑to‑large projects, collaboration with BIM, and adherence to budgets and schedules while pursuing sustainable design outcomes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering; Master’s preferred.
• Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) required.
• NCEES record preferred for registration in any state.
• Experience delivering projects between $20M–$80M in construction value.
• 7+ years of project engineering experience including a high-profile project.
• Experience in LEED Silver or higher projects and integrated teams.
• Experience with complex electrical design and coordinating multi-discipline teams.

Responsibilities

• Develop concepts and produce electrical design for projects.
• Lead project engineering for $20M–$80M projects from design through commissioning.
• Coordinate with BIM team, develop standards and Revit details.
• Monitor budgets, schedules, and deliverables; ensure quality.
• Attend client meetings and maintain positive client contact.
• Mentor junior engineers and collaborate across disciplines.
