Job summary

Rogers Electric offers a ten-week Full Circuit Project Engineering Internship Program designed for students pursuing construction and engineering degrees. You’ll be embedded with a local construction team, paired with a mentor, and work on active electrical projects from bid through closeout.

You’ll gain hands-on experience supporting project managers, engineers and field leaders, while using CM software and participating in a nationwide intern cohort.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in an accredited college or university.
• Rising senior or graduating senior.
• Pursuing a degree in Construction Management, Construction Engineering, Civil or Electrical Engineering.
• Interested in a career in Project Engineering or electrical construction.
• Able to participate in the full ten-week program.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook).
• Strong written and verbal communication.
• Organized and able to manage multiple deadlines.
• Detail-oriented and proactive.
• Comfortable in office and active jobsite environments.

Responsibilities

• Support an active electrical construction project alongside Project Managers, Engineers and field leaders.
• Maintain project documentation including submittals, RFIs, drawings, meeting notes and material-tracking logs.
• Assist with project scheduling, procurement, change-order documentation and closeout activities.
• Participate in project meetings and jobsite visits.
• Learn how teams monitor labor, cost, schedule, safety and quality.
• Gain exposure to Preconstruction, Safety, Finance and HR teams.
• Use construction-management software and industry tools.
• Complete weekly deliverables as part of a full lifecycle project simulation.
• Present project work and recommendations to Rogers leaders.
• Receive mentorship and professional development throughout the program.
