Job summary

OEG, Inc. in Boise, ID invites a Project Engineer Intern to support design tracking and coordination across BIM/CAD, Pre-Construction, Operations, and PM disciplines.

The internship covers orientation, safety, pre-construction tasks, field activities, and project management duties, with emphasis on MS Office and strong communication. This paid internship requires current enrollment in a related degree program and offers exposure to electrical construction processes and real-world costing,

Qualifications

• Must be currently enrolled in a degree program with a strong interest in electrical construction.
• General knowledge and skills in the use of various Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Requires a positive attitude and willing to learn.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.

Responsibilities

• OEG Orientation: Company overview, history, processes, and procedures.
• Safety: PPE, OSHA general requirements, defensive driving, DOT training.
• Pre-Construction & Design: Estimating take-off training, intro to Accubid, phasing and cost tracking, BIM/CAD, detailing.
• Operations: Prefabrication, schedule tracking, tool & equipment tracking, process improvement initiatives.
• Sarbanes-Oxley: internal controls.
• SharePoint: Intro to SharePoint and SharePoint for job sites.
• Project Management: Contract review, projected costs, change orders, job cost productivity tracking, material management, billing, scheduling & documentation.
• Field Management: Foreman's role, equipment requests/maintenance, communications, production & planning.
