Job summary

IMEG is seeking an Electrical Project Engineer 1 in Des Moines, IA to lead design efforts for electrical systems on building projects. You will collaborate with a team of engineers and consultants, manage design progress, budgets, and schedules, and communicate with clients to ensure successful outcomes.

You should have a BS in Electrical Engineering, a PE license, and 2+ years in building design consulting.

Qualifications

• BS in Electrical Engineering required; PE license required.
• 2 years minimum building design consulting experience; 4 preferred.
• Proficiency with lighting, power systems, and code-compliant design.

Responsibilities

• Lead design efforts for electrical systems on building projects.
• Coordinate with clients, engineers, and consultants to meet requirements.
• Oversee budgeting, scheduling, and design progress.
• Provide in-process design reviews and QA to meet IMEG standards.
• Mentor junior staff and collaborate across disciplines.
• Stay current with industry trends and safety practices.
